Who we are & our plan
We are MiRinda & Lucas, soulmates beyond the horizon who love travelling, exploring and challenging ourselves. We share our passion for nature and now we would like to share it with you.
We both have travelled since childhood, done many hiking trips (from walking the Camino de Santiago to hiking in Himalayas), wild camping, backpacking (Indonesia was great for that), travelling in classic cars, boating, caravaning/campervaning, which led us to an idea to build our “Tariq” (self converted Land Rover Discovery 4) and continue our travels to even more remote places.
Our long-term goal is to travel the world full-time once our children become independent. We plan to begin this journey around the Pan-American route, travelling from North to South all the way down to Ushuaia and Caleta Eugenia.
In preparation, we are not only building the practical side of our lifestyle, but also investing in skills that will help us connect with the world more deeply. Language learning is a key part of this -MiRinda speaks Czech, English, and Spanish and is currently learning French, while Lucas speaks Czech, English and German, and is now learning Spanish.
We are also carefully planning the timing of our travels, considering the best seasons to visit each region while allowing enough time to fully explore and experience them, as well as organising the logistics needed to make the journey sustainable and well-structured.
Along the way, we want our travels to have a deeper purpose by connecting with local communities, supporting meaningful projects, and giving back to the places that welcome us.
So far, we have explored 36 countries across five continents, each experience bringing new lessons and inspiration. Originally from the Czech Republic, we are now based in England.

MiRinda
Dreamer who has been longing for traveling the world since childhood. I left my home country at the age of 22 and have lived abroad in different countries ever since.
Even with the demands of managing a busy job as a hotel manager and a family of four, it is still possible to explore the world. I also teach English online, which allows me to interact with people from all around the world.
My interest in NLP, mind and body connection, spirituality, and self-empowerment has led me to work as a life coach, where I assist individuals in finding their life path. While travelling, I enjoy cooking with local ingrediences/ spices and herbs and getting inspired by local cuisine.
Moreover, I possess a strong sense of humour and an excellent ability to generate laughter.

Lucas
Salesman since childhood, with passion for details and anything technical - cars, aircrafts, architecture, design, rally & motororsport. I started my first company when 14 years old (when still at school) and my hobbies became part of my jobs – so I worked in Advertising/Marketing/Design/Car Sales since.
Second passion of mine is nature and wildlife which goes hand in hand with travelling and learning about other cultures and trying to understand the differences and reasons behind them. That was also helpful when I moved to UK (funny, how two european countries could be so simillar yet so different).
Thanks to my upbringing I am creative and able to improvise with less resources which is extra handy when going as remote as possible.
Life is short & the world is wide
Travel has always been a huge part of who we are. We’ve wandered through mountain trails with only our backpacks, watched sunsets from quiet rivers while boating, driven endless roads with our caravan and motorhome, enjoyed famous mountain passes in old classic cars, and conquered deserts with our 4x4.
So far, we’ve visited 36 countries — each one leaving its mark in a different way. Some we only passed through briefly, others we explored deeply, and a few even became our home for a while. There are places we know better than our own birth country.
Yet somehow, it still feels like we’re just getting started. The world is vast, and our curiosity is endless — there’s still so much more out there waiting to be discovered.

Our name, logo & motto
We think Beyond the Horizon is quite self-explanatory - it’s about going beyond borders and limits. You can’t ever truly reach that final point - as you move forward, the horizon moves with you. But along the way, you can explore, learn, and experience things firsthand. Still, you will never learn everything, you will never know everyone, and even places you’ve visited before will look different the next time you see them.
But you can be open-minded, willing to learn from others, share what you’ve learned elsewhere, and try to understand local circumstances - the what, the how, and the why behind what’s happening. You may encounter different steps or methods than you expected.
And finally, appreciate nature, flora, and fauna. Treat people and all living beings with respect - simply, Love & Respect.
The Logo Itself Combines Two Main Features:
Compass Rose - A symbol of guidance and direction, staying on course especially in challenging times, and finding the right path or purpose in life. It’s also a well-known symbol of travel, discovery, and curiosity.
Circle - Represents unity, infinity, and balance. When wrapped around the compass rose, it symbolizes a complete journey or navigation through life or the world - simply, finding your place.
Color & Style Choices - Black (90%) and white palette – timeless, clean, and powerful. It reinforces clarity, purpose, and simplicity. Orange underline - Orange often symbolizes energy, creativity, and determination - a vibrant foundation for the message.
