Slovenia - part of our European trip

This adventure began in Austria, where I (Lucas) suffered food poisoning, with symptoms starting during our walk to Tscheppaschlucht (Tscheppa Gorge). After a short rest, I began feeling better, and we crossed the border into Slovenia, where we saw Lake Bled for the first time.

That afternoon, after finding a suitable campsite and enjoying a celebratory drink, I suddenly felt much worse and took a nap — one that lasted from afternoon until morning, accompanied by fever and other rather unfortunate “bucket” side effects. Luckily, MiRinda was fine and able to pack up camp and look after me.

Another lesson learned — one we will share on our blog and also during our consultations and coaching sessions.

Once I finally felt better, we took our inflatable boat out onto Lake Bled, swam in Lake Bohinj, and the next day went for a scenic drive into the mountains of Triglav National Park. Our next stop was the Soča River. Of course, we couldn’t resist a refreshing dip, before driving along narrow mountain roads and through tunnels up to the Mangart Saddle, where we enjoyed spectacular views over the Julian Alps before crossing into Italy.
