Morocco - Lac de Tislit, MH1 around Jaafar & hundreds of monkeys
After a quiet night by Lake Tislit, we continued on the MH1 track. Along the way we admired Jaafar Gorge and slowly made our way through the cedar forests of Khénifra National Park.
On the route we came across a mineral stream forming a small “saltfall”. After chatting with some locals, we joined them and refilled our salt grinder with this natural white gold.
From there we followed the track toward Aguelmam Azegza National Park, where we were greeted by hundreds of Barbary macaque. After a quick shower in the wild, we walked down to the lake and watched the monkeys playing and drinking until the stunning sunset.
