Morocco - driving to Ozoud waterfalls & Atlas mountains

From Casablanca we headed towards the Atlas Mountains. On the way we camped nearby and the following day visited the Ouzoud Waterfalls - the largest waterfalls in Morocco, dropping around 110 metres.

After a beautiful day spent there, we continued driving through landscapes and roads still showing damage from the earthquake, eventually reaching the small Amazigh village of Aroumd. The village is nestled in a valley beneath Mount Toubkal (4167m) - the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco, and the highest mountain in North Africa.

After meeting the local imam, he kindly offered us a place to camp in his garden. Later, his son Hamid and his family invited us to join them for dinner — a wonderful introduction to the warmth and hospitality of the local Amazigh community.
