Peak district - with rescue
Exploring new to us parts of Peak district. But before we were able to start, we came across turned over side by side (UTV), with injured persons. From what looked like a minor accident, later became quite a mission, ending with helicopter ambulance on scene transporting the driver to hospital (meanwhile there was filming crew fillming whole situation with the medics for some TV series).
Lucky that we drove that way, as the couple went for just quick drive, without phones and anything. We called the ambulance, managed to calm down the lady after the shock, and looked after the driver before the arrival of ambulance, mountain rescue and heli later. Meanwhile we also turned the UTV back on wheels to prevent oil and fuel spills. Another valuable lesson. Not an ideal start of a trip, so we decided to rest after hours spent at the scene, and to continue next day with fresh minds. And it was worthy. From some remote trails to stepping stones, Robin Hood's Stride, and Flash (highest village in Briatin).
