Boating on rivers & canals UK
Great Britain has over 5,000 miles of waterways (rivers and canals), and we wanted to try boating ourselves. So when we found this 15ft project boat, we jumped in.
After a good clean, some engine maintenance, few repairs and a bit of tinkering, we decided to christen her Horizon and set off on her maiden voyage.
We explored many rivers and canals with her, learned how to operate locks, and picked up all the necessary boating skills along the way. It was amazing to see British towns and countryside from a completely different perspective - and to meet new people on the journey.
