Morocco - visiting Zagora & back to desert

Between our desert adventures, we stopped in Zagora to visit our friends Aziz and Hassan for tea and a chat. There was plenty to talk about while looking through photos from the old Dakar Rally days. Thanks again for the thoughtful and generous gift.

After a bit of souvenir shopping, we headed back into the wilderness. First came some rocky sections and climbs over a few mountains before reaching a vast plateau where we camped for the night. We couldn’t help but feel like we were camping on the moon.

The next day we were back on the sand, crossing some tall and challenging dunes, followed later by proper fine fesh-fesh. Somehow we made it through without getting stuck once and eventually reached Erg Ouzina. After finding a great camping spot, we even had time for ice cream (yes - our fridge/freezer was working perfectly) and finished the day with a bit of sandboarding.
